The 1st Five-Minute International Thesis Competition 2025 (5MITC) is a prestigious event organized by the Graduate Program of Universitas Bina Bangsa to celebrate and showcase innovative research from postgraduate students worldwide. This competition challenges participants to present their thesis or dissertation in a concise, engaging, and impactful five-minute presentation, making their complex research accessible to a broader audience.

Objectives:

1. Promote Research Communication Skills: Help researchers develop their ability to effectively communicate their work to non-specialist audiences.
2. Enhance Research Visibility: Provide a platform for participants to share their ideas and findings with an international academic community.
3. Foster International Collaboration: Encourage networking and collaboration among students and scholars from diverse fields and regions.
4. Inspire Innovation: Highlight cutting-edge research that contributes to academic advancement and societal development.

• Date: March 15, 2025
• Time: 09:00 – 15:00 WIB
• Mode: Hybrid (On-site at Universitas Bina Bangsa, Serang, Banten, and Online via Zoom)
• Participants: Open to Master’s and Doctoral students from universities worldwide

Competition Format:

1. Eligibility: Participants must be enrolled in a graduate (Master’s or Doctoral) program and actively working on their thesis or dissertation.
2. Presentation Rules:
   • Presenters have five minutes to deliver their thesis presentation.
   • Presentations must be in English and accompanied by a single, static PowerPoint slide (no animations or transitions).
   • Judging will focus on clarity, engagement, and the ability to communicate the significance of the research.
3. Judging Criteria:
   • Content: Depth and clarity in explaining the research problem, methodology, and findings.
   • Engagement: Ability to capture the audience’s interest and effectively communicate complex ideas.
   • Impact: Significance and potential impact of the research in academic and practical contexts.
